The location couldn't be better. Though our group was there for a board retreat, not for skiing, it still had everything we needed. Plenty of places for everyone to sleep and spread out. We especially appreciated Warren's attempts to make sure the lodge is sustainably appointed. The natural wood made the cabin feel extra cozy.

"This is a unique and cozy rental situated in the middle of Government Camp. I was there for a weekend away with my girlfriends, and we had a great time. The house was well suited for a group gathering, playing games and watching movies. It also provided nooks for retreating, in the loft space. I loved the small touches--artsy lighting, beautiful linen and cozy down comforters, an array of fun mugs for tea and coffee. The owners have created a lovely retreat."

"We have stayed there twice with our kids and grandkids. There is lots of room and space for everyone. The main room is amazing, with a wall of big windows that look out on the village and snow! There is a huge long table there that goes along the windows, that makes an awesome space for doing crafts together, playing games, or just everyone hanging out.

The kitchen is really nice with lots of dishes and cookware, gas stove and granite counters. You can walk to town in less than a block. The house makes you feel like you are kind of stepping back in time, with all knotty pine floors and walls. A wonderful gas fireplace is cozy and warm, with glass all around it so you can see the fire from 3 sides. The couches sit around it, which is a cozy place to hang out too. Upstairs there is a nook with double bed that the kids love to hang out in and play. We may make this a family tradition. There was enough snow for kids to sled every day, and across the street there is a trail through the woods with a cool bridge that goes over a creek. It took us about 10 minutes to get up to Timberline, which was awesome! If you like a rustic feel of a cabin, lots of space, and lots of windows and light, this house is amazing!"
